I've gotten an ink stain on my Strawberry Gable. Not only that, but I tried to figure up how many stitches should be on my needle and I think I have 6 or 7 too many and don't know how it happened. I'm considering ordering different yarn and just starting completely over. Has anyone done a stitch count for the XL size?

Oh, man, you must be SO discouraged! Don't give up on it though. It's such a nice pattern. I'm on my fifth or sixth try with it and I really think it will be a favorite sweater if I can ever finish it :-)
Busymom, thank you for the encouragement. I re-did the stitch count and discovered that I'm really only one stitch off and I figure that can't make much of a difference. After using tide stick on the stain, I think I might be able to get it out. So, I've decided to keep going with it.
I hope you got the stain out! That sure is discouraging though!
I think rubbing alcohol is the trick for ink stains. Have you tried askheloise.com? Or google "ask Heloise".
Thanks, Annie, for the alcohol idea. I dabbed some on the stain and it's mostly gone now. Whew! I really didn't want to have to start over.
