Ribbing vs. Picot Edge
I'm getting close to the bottom and have a question:
How is the 1x1 ribbing on the bottom working out for those who have completed the Green Gable? I am concerned about the elasticity since it is mostly cotton and am thinking about doing a picot hem instead. What does everyone think? What about other ideas??

well, though i really like picot edging, i have a feeling that the turned under edge/hem would be a little thick and definitely would not be stretchy. that's my guess.
I think the cast off is the most important part. Just be careful that it isn't too tight and it should be fine.

I was thinking about it last night, and I think that gleek is right about a picot edge being too thick. But I am going to try a 2x2 ribbing to see if that would be better. My experience with socks is that a 2x2 ribbing holds its shape better.
Thanks for the opinions!!
