Sizing Help. Or, ouch, that's a lot of math.

Hey everybody -

I have deleted this post, because ALL of the math had the same repeated error, and it will not be helpful for you. SO SORRY for the inconvenience, and please see this post for the corrected math and a diagram.

Sorry again!

That's a great help, thanks! I'll bear this in mind when I start GG #2 ;)

Thank you so much for doing the math. I'm going to tack this on to my pattern notes.

You are so brilliant--no wonder Carrie has mentioned picking your brain before on her blog. And this would explain why those knitting the 36" size haven't had any problems. I feel better about my sizing choice now. Thanks!

I have to say that my biggest beef with this pattern -- no stitch counts, no schematic. Makes lots more of work for those who want to rework the pattern to fit their yarn's gauge or their body's measurements. Thanks for sitting down with your calculator and clearing some of these things up.

Thanks for the concise explanation. I had this worked out too to share, but I haven't gotten to the sleeve separating part to prove it all true. :)

Oh no! I'm making the L and I don't WANT 3" of ease. *sigh*. I made the 38, assuming it was well, 38.

You are welcome, you guys!

Shannon - we can put our brains together to make yours a bit smaller... Let me know.

Oblivia - sorry to trump you. It's only because I'm awake at 4:00 am. ;-)

Liz - who says I used a calculator. hahahahahahaha!
